December of 2015 I took an amazing trip to the island of Nassau in the Bahamas. One of my favorite cousins had an amazing wedding to an amazing man. Seriously I don't think I could be any happier for somebody I love so much. During this trip I experienced a lot of the local Bahamian life from the local bus transportation to that amazing Conch Salad at McKenzie's Fresh Fish in Potter's Cay. Keeping with my new travel custom I picked up some tea made locally, Treasure Cay Coconut made by Genuinely Bahamian www.genuinely Bahamian.com.

Overall Impression: The tea as absolutely amazing and brought me back to the islands while sitting in my office cubical wrapped in a blanked because the A/C is to high. I would by the tea again and will try their other flavors next time.

Description: In the typical Bahamian spirit they added a lot of flavor to an otherwise low grade Ceylon tea. This particular flavor used shredded coconut and rum to provide a smooth island essence not only to your nose but to you pallet also

Color: burnt orange

Aroma: Upon 1st steeping the bag you sense the notes of the coconut with the essence of rum in the background.

Flavor: Initially I was scared to drink it at work worried my breath and cup would smell like rum but the rum flavor was very mild once I tasted it. Seems they added just enough to give you the essence but not enough to be effective. The coconut flavor was perfect to pair with Ceylon and rum notes.

After-flavor: The soft coconut tones were left lingering on my pallet for hours

Sweetness: I found it to be perfectly sweet from the coconut but a few co-workers add a little sugar but felt no need to add milk or creamer.

Astringency: very low

Brewing Technique: Tea Bags steeped for 2-3 min in 8oz of boiling water
